You’re bright, creative, and eager to develop your media production skills. You are inspired to write and produce your own stories. With college as an upcoming option, you wonder how these interests translate to the next stage of your life. You’re ready to make some good friends and enjoy your summer, so learning and collaborating with like-minded students from around the country and world appeals to you.

At Boston University’s Academy of Media Production you can do all that and more! In this nationally acclaimed four week summer program for high school students, you create your own fiction or non-fiction films, videos, webcasts and live multi-camera productions. The workshop, seminar, and guest lecture experience is complimented by site visits that provide a first-hand perspective to how professionals work. This collegiate orientation allows students the chance to investigate potential educational and professional opportunities.

Outside of class, you’ll become familiar with the worldclass city of Boston, enjoying its unique meeting ground of American history and youthful energy. Situated between the Charles River and Fenway Park, home of the 2004 & 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox, Boston University offers its students generous opportunities to experience the rich cultural and social environment that is Boston.

Next year's program will run from July 12 - August 6, 2010.
